York Fitness Treadmills
York Fitness Running Machines
The name York has been synonymous with fitness equipment for more than 75 years. York Fitness as it is known today is an amalgamation of two companies that were both started in the 1930's - a Canadian and American company that were both well known for weightlifting and training equipment. While the American company stuck with weights and weight training equipment, the Canadian company branched out into other fitness categories such as cardio machines like York treadmills. Both companies had strong niches in the fitness market when they joined in 2004, with one company focusing on the home fitness market, while the other continued in the commercial market.
Currently, there are four models of York Fitness treadmills. The heritage t101 York treadmill is their most basic model. It is manufactured to appeal to consumers who are looking for a good machine for light running and walking. It has a small 1.25 hp motor which gets speeds up to 13 mph, but has a manual incline that only allows for three different positions. The console has a single LCD screen with all the information needed for a great workout, in addition to 9 different workout programs.
The next York Fitness treadmill in their line-up is the heritage t102. It is essentially the same as the t101, but has electric incline up to 10%. This model is also great for those that do not have a great deal of storage space since it folds up.
The top-of-the-line York treadmill is the diamond t302. It has a very large running surface, great for those that are taller. It has a powerful 3 hp motor that achieves speeds up to 20 mph, and had built-in speakers for those that like music when they workout. It has all these features and still folds up for easy storage.
